Incident Management is the reactive part of business continuity. A company experiences an incident when a business has identified something that is having a major impact on its operations.

It could be caused by an external situation or by something internal to the company. It could have even managed itself into the situation.

It is vital that every organisation has a plan in place. It is tested and every team member knows what to do.

To avoid sending out the wrong message, it is better to use the term Incident and avoid the word 'Crisis'.
